ARE YOU INTERESTED IN LOCAL HISTORY?

If you are interested in local history and are researching,
or wish to research, some aspect of the history of your area,
why not make contact with us and join one of our local groups?

CALH was formed in February 1981 under the inspirational leadership of Mrs. Veronica Chesher, the Staff Tutor in Local (Cornish) History for the Extra-mural department of Exeter University. It is led by a committee and the current officers are:- Anthony D. Wood, Chairman, Raymond Gentle, Secretary, Dr. Catherine Lorrigan, Treasurer, Mrs. Pam Dodds, Events Secretary, Mr. Derek Reynolds, Vice Chairman and Dr. David Quill-Smart, Editor.

 

We Offer:  
  Friendship with a group of like minded people
  A Journal, published twice a year, with articles and book reviews by local members
  A twice yearly newsletter
  Help in finding your way around sources of information available
  Regular visits to different localities in Cornwall with locally led tours
  An annual two day residentail spring conference
